“Run in a circle. Real fast, and to the left.” That’s how the crowd was told to move. They didn’t need any instruction though, as barely anyone was able to stay still during Dance Gavin Dance’s energetic set against a sunset backdrop in New York’s historic Central Park. After rousing sets from openers Wolf & Bear (whose new album A Hill to Die On released the day prior) and technical post-hardcore heroes The Fall of Troy, the stage was set for the main event. Playing a set spanning their almost two decades of releases, and supporting their latest releases full length Pantheon and live album Tree City Sessions 3, Dance Gavin Dance kept the crowd going until long past the sun had set. Judging by the nonstop movement, crowdsurfers, and fans screaming every word back, the crowd was fully along for the career-spanning ride.
